Oxfordshire's Children's Assessment Service are seeking a committed and skilled Social Worker to join their team in Oxfordshire providing early safeguarding support to children and families who may be at risk.
You will complete timely, high‑quality assessments and work closely with multi‑agency partners as part of the Family Safeguarding Model, providing early safeguarding support to children and families who may be at risk. This is a fast‑paced team within a service rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a clear ambition to reach 'Outstanding'.
As a highly skilled social worker, you will:
- Complete child and family assessments and safeguarding enquiries
- Lead or support s47 investigations, risk assessments and planning
- Provide clear, professional written reports for meetings and court
- Contribute to multi‑agency working and duty rota
- Maintain accurate case records and work within statutory guidance
- Ensure children's voices are central to assessments and plans
What you will need to succeed:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- ASYE completed (or equivalent experience)
- Statutory children's services experience
- Strong risk assessment, communication and report‑writing skills
- Confident working in a busy safeguarding environment
- Commitment to reflective, child‑centred and strengths‑based practice
- Ability to travel across Oxfordshire when required
