Hays are pleased to be partnering with an established Wolverhampton based business who are on the lookout for an experienced Management Accountant to join the wider finance team initially on a 6-month basis. This is a hands-on role with the potential for a full-time permanent position for the right candidate. We are happy to review qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA applications and QBE.

Your new role

  • Responsible for month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage expense processes.
  • Maintain inventory, product costing, fixed asset, and lease accounting records.
  • Prepare intercompany, tax, and management charge journals while ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies.
  • Calculate key financial provisions, including bad debt and warranty reserves.
  • Produce variance analysis and reporting to support business performance reviews.
  • Submit monthly financial data, ensuring accuracy within deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role, with a strong understanding of month-end close processes, accruals, journals, and a desire to implement continuous process improvement. You will be able to work effectively to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
