Operating within a collaborative and supportive environment, this business offers the opportunity to join a close-knit finance team of four and play a key role in the day-to-day and strategic financial operations of the company.
Your New Role
As Management Accountant, you will take responsibility for supporting the financial management of the business and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate reporting and robust financial controls. Key duties will include:
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring suppliers are paid on time and customer receipts are accurately recorded.
- Coordinating month-end and quarter-end close processes across the group.
- Preparing quarterly financial reports and supporting analysis for key stakeholders and partners.
- Managing employee expenses, company prepayment cards and associated reconciliations.
- Maintaining and updating the ERP system with bank, supplier and customer transactions.
- Supporting subsidiary finance teams and responding to ad-hoc finance queries.
- Assisting with process improvements and driving efficiencies across the finance function.
- Managing fixed asset registers and supporting inventory accounting activities.
- Completing grant reporting and associated supporting documentation.
- Performing quarterly financial checks to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
- Strong month-end and financial reporting experience.
- Experience managing or overseeing transactional finance activities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong systems skills, ideally with ERP experience.
- A proactive approach and willingness to work collaboratively within a small finance team.
- Part-qualified, finalist or qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA) considered.
