Your new role

As a VAT Senior Manager, you will deliver VAT services to a wide range of clients including household names, multinational groups and fast‑paced privately-owned businesses. While strong UK VAT knowledge is essential, a significant portion of your work will involve collaborating across the firm's international network to support clients with global VAT issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for your client portfolio, managing relationships and responding proactively to client needs.
  • Taking full responsibility for the delivery of VAT advisory and compliance projects.
  • Managing a portfolio that includes billing, cash collection and assignment planning.
  • Reviewing work produced by junior team members and providing constructive feedback.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Monitoring budgets, identifying overruns and ensuring compliance with internal quality control processes.
  • Highlighting technical issues, risks and opportunities for additional services.
  • Contributing to the management of the VAT group and supporting colleagues across the firm.
  • Coaching, appraising and developing junior team members.
  • Recognising and contributing to business development opportunities, including proposals and pitches.
  • Building relationships with senior client stakeholders and collaborating with internal specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
