An exciting opportunity has arisen with a purpose-led organisation that delivers services which have a significant impact across the North of England. Operating within a collaborative and values-driven environment, the organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to support financial performance, business decision-making and continuous improvement across the finance function.
As Management Accountant, you will support the delivery of an effective management accounting and finance business partnering service. Working closely with senior stakeholders and budget holders, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis. You will produce timely management information, oversee month-end processes, support cash and balance sheet management, and contribute to the development of financial systems, controls and reporting processes. The role will also involve providing commercial and financial insight to support operational and strategic decision making.
What you'll need to succeed:
- You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have previous experience within a management accounting role.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills are essential, alongside experience producing management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting.
- You will be a confident communicator, capable of building effective relationships with stakeholders across the business and translating financial information into meaningful insights.
- Experience of developing financial processes and systems, and exposure to a regulated, public sector or complex organisational environment, would be advantageous.
