Your new company
As the EMEA Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial closing process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a proven track record in managing financial processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Your new role
- Lead the monthly financial close process for the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Develop and implement regional accounting policies and procedures that align with global standards.
- Assist in building a robust internal control environment, including the implementation and execution of internal control activities to ensure SOX compliance.
- Manage all activities related to preparing and issuing statutory financial statements for EMEA subsidiaries, coordinating with audit firms.
- Work closely with teams such as FP&A, HR, Legal, and the AMER Senior Director to support business objectives.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in EMEA accounting and payroll operations.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent designation.
- 10+ years of experience with GL accounting and reporting, with experience in US-based companies preferred.
- Proven experience building and mentoring a diverse, high-performing team in multiple locations.
- Strong proficiency in US GAAP and various local GAAP (e.g., IFRS).
