A leading international organisation is looking to appoint a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to support its UK and Ireland operations. Operating within a complex international supply chain environment, the business holds compliance, governance, and operational excellence at the heart of its success.
This is a varied and highly visible role where you will lead customs compliance activities, ensuring adherence to UK, EU and international trade regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing import and export customs compliance, including classifications, valuations, origin and duty calculations.
- Maintaining customs controls, governance frameworks and compliance management systems.
- Leading internal audits and supporting external regulatory reviews.
- Managing relationships with customs brokers, logistics providers and regulatory authorities.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing process improvements.
- Producing compliance reporting, risk assessments and management information.
- Maintaining customs accreditations and authorisations.
- Driving process improvement, automation and compliance awareness across the business.
