Hays are exclusively partnering with a dynamic, rapidly growing business on the outskirts of Cheltenham to recruit an experienced Project Accountant to rebuild and simplify its management accounting and reporting framework. Following significant growth and multiple acquisitions, legacy spreadsheet-based processes have become overly complex and no longer scalable.

The Role

  • Design and build management accounts, forecasts and reporting packs
  • Create robust reconciliations and working files
  • Develop scalable Excel models capable of importing data from multiple entities and systems
  • Establish clear, simple processes with strong controls embedded early in the cycle

About You

  • Qualified accountant or QBE (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience producing management accounts and reconciliations
  • Proven background improving or redesigning finance processes
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills
  • Able to quickly understand a wholesale/distribution environment, including complex rebate structures
  • Confident challenging existing practices and influencing stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and driving change
