Your new company: You'll be joining a well‑established organisation responsible for the maintenance and smooth running of multiple student accommodation buildings in Nottingham City Centre. Due to increased demand, they are seeking a skilled Domestic Electrician to support their busy maintenance team on a temporary basis.
Your new role: You will be carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive electrical maintenance across several accommodation sites. Typical tasks will include:
- Electrical fault‑finding
- Testing and inspecting domestic electrical systems
- Replacing sockets, switches, lighting and general fixtures
- Completing remedial works
- Ensuring all electrical jobs are carried out safely and in line with regulations
This is a Monday-Friday role, 9am-5pm, with flexibility available regarding start times.
Contract: minimum of one month
Pay: £26-£27 per hour
Start: Monday 26th January 2026
What you'll need to succeed:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- AM2 qualification
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (desirable, not essential)
- Current DBS certificate (desirable)
- Previous experience in domestic or accommodation-based maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
