You will be working as a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a mid-sized Multi Academy Trust in Worcestershire.

You will act as the lead finance contact for a portfolio of schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and senior leaders. You will take ownership of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and clearly communicated.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear, practical financial advice to support planning and operational decision-making
  • Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and variance analysis
  • Leading annual budget setting and multi-year financial planning
  • Maintaining accurate forecasts and identifying risks, pressures, and opportunities
  • Supporting audits, statutory reporting, and fixed asset management

This role requires regular travel to school sites and close collaboration with central teams including Operations, Estates, and School Relationship Managers.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Ideally be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or have strong equivalent experience.
  • Strong management accounting and budgeting experience
  • Ability to analyse financial information, identify key issues, and propose solutions
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with finance systems
  • Strong communication skills
