Your new role

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement solutions across a varied portfolio of spend categories, ensuring best value, compliance, and successful commercial outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic sourcing projects across categories such as FM, Property and Construction
  • Managing the full procurement lifecycle, from market analysis and tender development through to contract award and implementation
  • Providing expert procurement advice to stakeholders and supporting informed commercial decision-making
  • Running competitive tender processes and supplier selection exercises
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and governance requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and process efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering procurement projects within a regulated, public sector, or complex commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of public procurement legislation and procurement best practice
  • Experience developing category strategies and leading competitive sourcing exercises
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse information and make evidence-based recommendations
  • Experience managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • A working understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 or PCR 2015 is essential
  • MCIPS, or working towards a professional procurement qualification, would be advantageous
