Working within a collaborative commercial team, you will play a key role in delivering value for money, supporting responsible stewardship of public funds, and driving commercial excellence across a diverse range of procurement and contract management activities.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced procurement, commercial, contract management or supplier management professional looking to broaden their exposure across the full commercial lifecycle while working closely with senior stakeholders.
As an Associate Commercial Lead, you will support and lead commercial activity from strategy development through to procurement delivery, contract management, supplier performance and commercial governance. You will act as a trusted commercial adviser to stakeholders, providing expert guidance, challenge and assurance to support informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and implementation of commercial strategies aligned to organisational priorities.
- Leading and supporting end-to-end public sector procurement activity and sourcing exercises.
- Developing procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value for money and compliance.
- Conducting market engagement and supplier negotiations to secure positive commercial outcomes.
- Managing contracts and supplier relationships, including performance management, governance and risk mitigation.
- Providing commercial advice to stakeholders and influencing commercially sound decisions.
- Supporting commercial governance, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and wider organisational value.

- Demonstrable experience within a public sector procurement, commercial, contract management or supplier management environment.

- Experience delivering value for money through procurement, negotiation, contract management or wider commercial activity.
- The ability to identify, assess and manage commercial risks effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and business partnering skills.
- The confidence to provide professional challenge and influence commercial decision-making.
- Experience in contract mobilisation, category management, supplier relationship management, commercial reporting or transition planning would be advantageous.
