Your new company Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation within the FMCG sector to recruit a Logistics Co-ordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced supply chain team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods across the UK and international markets.
Your new role As Logistics Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating third-party transport requirements
- Ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of products
- Managing relationships with haulage providers
- Monitoring transport performance
- Coordinating delivery schedules and resolving any logistics issues that arise
You will also play an important role in:
- Customs compliance
- Managing TSS requirements
- Bonded movements
- HMRC customs processes
What you'll need to succeed:
- Recent experience within a logistics, transport planning or supply chain environment
- Experience coordinating third-party haulage and transport providers
- Knowledge of customs procedures, TSS requirements and customs compliance
- Experience managing bonded goods movements and HMRC processes
- Understanding of import and export operations
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel and logistics or transport management systems
- Experience within FMCG, wholesale, distribution or a similar fast-paced environment would be advantageous
- Familiarity with customs software or HMRC online systems would be beneficial
