Your new role
As a Supported Housing Worker, you\’ll provide tailored, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Working across Frome and Shepton Mallet, you\’ll help clients with medium-level needs maintain tenancies, access vital services, and move towards greater independence. You\’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality accommodation services, managing referrals from the Local Authority, and ensuring a safe and supportive living environment. The role operates on a rota system, with shifts scheduled between 08:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekend cover (typically 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota is also required.

– Delivering high-quality, off-the-street accommodation services that meet client needs.
– Managing and progressing referrals received from the Local Authority.
– Providing accurate advice, information, and enabling support to promote client independence.
– Ensuring a safe and supportive living environment through effective housing management.
– Maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date client records in line with service standards.
– Working on a rota system with shifts scheduled between 08:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
– Covering weekend shifts on a rotational basis (typically 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
– Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
This is a permanent vacancy paying Β£25,235 per annum, 37.5 hours a week.
What you\’ll need to succeed
– Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.
– Strong understanding of homelessness and social exclusion, with a person-centred approach.
– Valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.
– Flexibility to work shifts and cover weekends as part of a rota.
– Ability to maintain accurate client records and deliver effective housing management services.
