Join a leading, well-established London local authority on a rolling, interim assignment. Their specialist litigation team, encompassing housing and employment matters, deals with a wide variety of work given the funding and area covered by this authority.
Your new role
As a Housing Litigation Lawyer, you will manage a diverse caseload, including complex housing litigation and debt recovery matters. You will provide expert legal advice, conduct advocacy in County Court, and ensure compliance with Lexcel standards. Your role will involve working closely with clients, negotiating settlements, and presenting cases effectively. This role starts on a 6-month, rolling contract, to be renewed consistently.
What you’ll need to succeed

Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.

Knowledge/experience of housing litigation law (including rent arrears, ASB, disrepair, and homelessness), debt recovery, insolvency procedures, and contract law.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines.

Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
What you’ll get in return

£35/hr PAYE / £45/hr Umbrella rate (negotiable).
