Your new SchoolA new, exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, fluent Welsh Teacher to work in a popular and vibrant school in Caerphilly County. The school has fantastic pupil and staff attainment and is widely involved in the community.

This Welsh Medium Primary School strives to create a supportive and happy environment where staff and pupils can develop their full potential.The school are looking for a friendly and animated teacher to join the team to work on a part-time basis with Key Stage 2 Classes.

Your new roleYou will be teaching the classes on a part-time basis, 2-3 days a week. You will be responsible for delivering the national curriculum with learning goals at the forefront, whilst ensuring that pupils feel supported and encouraged. You will also direct the Teaching Assistant, who will work closely with you to enhance learning.This job will be to start as soon as possible. Interviews and observations will be taking place over the next couple of weeks.

Qualified Teacher Status and EWC registration

  • Recent and relevant experience of teaching primary-aged pupils

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to effectively guide and direct pupil behaviour

  • Leadership qualities, which will be important for directing the Teaching Assistant

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this will be important for building rapport with pupils, as well as staff members and parents

  • A genuine sense of empathy and the desire to support and enhance pupil development

  • The ability to monitor pupil development and offer suggestions and feedback

  • Excellent planning and preparation skills- The ability to speak Welsh confidently
