You will be working within the finance department (Team of 30) of their London offices on a hybrid basis.
Your new role

Managing the account payable function and maintaining an overview of the team’s workload

Ensure adherence to all relevant financial controls and firm policies and procedures

To identify process improvement opportunities and actively work with other team members to improve and streamline the AP function.

Proactively engage with wider business on process improvements. Continually gathering feedback and improving the stakeholder experience

To ensure that service levels and quality of work are maintained to the highest standards

Managing the team of 3 Accounts Payable assistants
-
Delivering timely feedback on performance (both day to day and formal appraisals), identifying training needs, managing delivery and generally supporting the team.

Distributing and monitoring work amongst the team, ensuring tasks are dealt with on a timely basis

Monitoring the settlement of all accounts payable related transactions.

Timely resolution of supplier and internal stakeholder queries

Accurate and timely inputting and posting of accounts payable transactions, including suppliers and counsel fees

Processing of staff expenses through Concur

Review and maintain all process controls and policy documentation

To work with the firm’s Legal Cashiers team and Billing team to ensure all account payable related transactions are dealt with promptly.

Legal AP experience at a senior level
-
Experience of managing AP teams with at least 3 account payable assistants.

Aderant or Elite knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
