Your new role

I am currently recruiting for an all-round IT Infrastructure Specialist for my client based in Harrogate., You will play a crucial part in supporting and enhancing the IT Infrastructure, ensuring resilience, supportability, security, optimization, and continuous improvement. You’ll help plan and drive the migration of on-premises infrastructure and workloads into Microsoft Cloud. You’ll collaborate with other IT teams, business areas and 3rd parties, to solve problems, deliver to operational roadmaps and maximize the effectiveness of our technology stack.

Responsibilities

Supporting and implementing the IT Infrastructure Roadmap meeting current and future business needs, protecting and optimising core technologies and enabling agile edge solutions.

Supporting the migration of on-premises infrastructure into Azure and M365.

Supporting the end-to-end IT Infrastructure lifecycle, aligned to business needs, to deliver secure, supportable (24×7) services, in line with best practice (ITIL, ISO27001 & PCI DSS)

Playing a key role in developing and implementing service improvements

Collaborating with colleagues across the Group, developing IT Infrastructure to drive value, reduce risk and frustration and educate business specialists

Engaging with third-party suppliers and partners to enable effective collaborative approach to any outsourced support, project delivery or evaluation of proof of concepts.

Supporting the effective identification, evaluation, management and remediation of IT risks

Providing efficient and effective 3rd line infrastructure support to agreed SLAs: managing incidents, service requests, problems, and changes whilst adhering to agreed processes and procedures.

Providing training, cross-skilling and upskilling of other team members as required.

Participating in the Infrastructure team out of hours support rota, coordinating and reporting on major incidents as required.

3rd line IT support: managing IT incidents, requests, problems, and changes in line with industry best practice (ITIL).

Managing and working effectively with suppliers.

Listening, understanding, interpreting and communicating non-technical and technical information to a wide range of audiences.

Awareness of new or emerging technologies and how these can be adopted and aligned to business needs.
