The predicted salary is between 22800 - 25200 £ per year.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Housing & Property Manager in Liverpool on a temp to perm basis, with a salary of just under 38k per annum. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week and will be required to travel across the region, so a driving licence with valid business insurance is required.

Your new role

  • Overseeing the day-to-day housing and tenancy management of all properties within your portfolio

  • Property advertisements, screening prospective customers, negotiating lease agreements with private landlords and RSLs, sign ups with new tenants

  • Coordinating health & safety and risk assessment processes, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and legislation

  • Monitoring rent/service charge issues including arrears, coordinating rent recovery procedures, advising on breaches of tenancy and agreeing actions with customers/colleagues to maximise income, minimise evictions and reduce arrears

  • Monitoring completion of work by contractors & cleaning staff and ensuring appropriate security measures are in place in all buildings

  • Assisting with bid submission for new/renewal contracts, liaising with current/prospective landlords to review and agree new arrangements, completion of relevant reports including annual returns and reviews

  • Proven experience working for a social landlord or supported housing service with a good knowledge of housing legislation, housing management processes including tenancies, leases, repairs, maintenance and rent/service charge issues

  • Knowledge and understanding of the welfare benefits system and health & safety regulations in relation to housing management

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, confidence in liaising with stakeholders at all levels

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
