Delivering engaging and creative history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Supporting, advising, guiding, and supervising students throughout the school day.

Supporting classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher.

Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher.

Assist in some aspects of lesson planning if required.

To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.

Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about teaching young people History.

Relevant experience teaching 11 – 16 year-olds within the last 2 years.

A professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes.

Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools’ behaviour polices is also essential., * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT’s welcome to apply.

Bachelor’s degree in History or Humanities related field.

Recent experience teaching History or Humanities at secondary school level.

Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one. What you’ll need to succeed:
