The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

  • Delivering engaging and creative history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Supporting, advising, guiding, and supervising students throughout the school day.

  • Supporting classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher.

  • Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher.

  • Assist in some aspects of lesson planning if required.

  • To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.

  • Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about teaching young people History.

  • Relevant experience teaching 11 – 16 year-olds within the last 2 years.

  • A professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes.

  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools’ behaviour polices is also essential., * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT’s welcome to apply.

  • Bachelor’s degree in History or Humanities related field.

  • Recent experience teaching History or Humanities at secondary school level.

  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one. What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.

  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
