As a CDM Manager, you will be operationally responsible for ensuring that our client is fulfilling and discharging legal obligations under the CDM 2015 regulations in regard to the planning, managing, monitoring and co-ordinating of health and safety, ensuring projects are carried out without risk to the health and safety of workers or others who may be affected by ongoing works, providing guidance, advice and supporting the Projects team through all RIBA stages with regard to CDM as necessary.

You will be covering multiple sites across the region and will therefore be required to travel to multiple sites as well as occasional overnight stays.

Other duties will include formally agreeing and confirming the scope of the Principal Designer and/or CDM services with the client on a project-by-project basis, advising and assisting the client where required in the appointments of designers and contractors.

The main duties of the role will include but not limited to:

• Assisting with the development and review of construction phase plans

• Assessing adequacy of risk assessments and method statements for project works

• Undertaking site inspections and audits of construction works throughout client accounts

• Acting as Principal Designer on projects which are deemed high-risk or complex

• Assist the client in ensuring their CDM duties and responsibilities are compliant

• Assist Mitie QHSE with accident / incident investigations

• Monthly reporting to our client’s senior leaders and client stakeholders

• Provide CDM / QHSE support and guidance to the project team

• Issue QHSE Briefing notes and information to project team members

• Lead weekly CDM meetings on current and upcoming project works

• Assist wider FM account with CDM duties and responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Principal designer and CDM management

• Strong understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate / QHSE Qualification

• Experience of the construction industry

• Computer Literate

• Full UK Driving Licence
