Hays Recruitment are partnering with a key client to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading business in the heart of County Armagh. You will be joining a fast-growing and collaborative business that supports and develops their staff to achieve their career goals.
Your new role
- Managing all transactions within the finance department
- Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently
- Maintenance of both sales and purchase ledger
- Assist with Payroll processing
- Responsible for collation, posting and reconciliation of month-end stocks
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up issues
- VAT submissions, Intrastat, TSS compliance and Other Government returns
- Assist with Cashflow Management
- Assisting with the maintaining of the cost system on Sage
- Monitor Financial Controls and implement changes where necessary
- Work with external auditors at year-end
- Support Finance Manager, General Manager and wider Management team in relation to accounts and reports they may need
- Support accounts team and assist with ad hoc duties as required

- Minimum 2 years experience
