Your new company is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability, specialising in Oncology, neurology, and rare diseases. They have a position available for a Pharmacovigilance Patient Safety Partner - Safety Risk Management to join their International Patient Safety team on a 6-month initial contract.

Hybrid - 2 days Welwyn

6 Month + Contract

Inside IR35 - PAYE - £40 - £50 p/h - Umbrella - £59 - £66 p/h

Your new role

As the Patient Safety Partner, you will ensure the execution of safety-related activities relevant to the PV (Pharmacovigilance) system through partnership with key stakeholders, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring license to operate. You will proactively identify opportunities to optimise the PV system.

You will focus on the following areas of activities:

  • Individual Case Safety Reports (e.g. data collection)
  • Studies, Programmes and other projects with PV implications (e.g., ICT, NIS, PASS, PAES, MAP, PAA, CUP, PTAP, Dicela)

You will take on responsibility for assessing PV requirements for organised data collection systems, with particular emphasis on market research, patient support, and digital activities, working with colleagues across the UK business and third parties.

You will also conduct Local Safety Risk Management, supporting the Ophthalmology Disease Area:

  • Identify, analyse and share safety insights by understanding disease areas, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely, proactive integration into affiliate and global strategies.
  • Implement global safety solutions locally within the integrated therapeutic strategy and execute product safety launch readiness activities.
  • Support the country-level risk management strategy to optimise patient outcomes in collaboration within relevant networks and ensure compliant and transparent PV communications (e.g., DHPCs) to healthcare professionals, patients, and external partners in collaboration with Medical Affairs and the cross-functional team.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to apply for the Pharmacovigilance Patient Safety Partner role, you must possess:

  • A Degree in life science or healthcare-related discipline (e.g., PharmD, MSc, BSc, Nursing, etc.).
  • Expert experience in pharmacovigilance, ideally in an affiliate setting.
  • Experience in supporting Pharmacovigilance for organised data collection systems and experience in local safety risk management planning and implementation.
  • Understanding of decision-making in the local & global PV ecosystem.
