Your new role involves providing practical legal and contractual advice across the full project lifecycle, supporting both pre-construction and delivery teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on tenders, identifying risks and supporting bid teams with mitigation strategies
- Supporting contract execution and ensuring compliance with internal governance
- Assisting with claims, disputes and adjudication processes
- Contributing to legal risk reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Delivering training and guidance to internal stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE (Scots Law qualification essential; dual qualification in English Law advantageous)
- Proven experience within construction or infrastructure law, ideally in-house or supporting similar clients
- Extensive experience working with JCT, SBCC and NEC forms of contract and their amendments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex contractual documentation
- Ability to deliver training and confidently present to senior audiences
