Our client is a highly-respected defendant firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting for a solicitor or associate to join their well-regarded property damage team in their Manchester or Birmingham offices on a hybrid basis. This role is open to individuals with a strong civil litigation background looking to retrain.

This Property Damage Solicitor/Associate role will see you responsible for:

  • Independently manage a caseload of property damage related claims
  • Contribute to higher-value cases as part of a collaborative team.
  • Interpret and respond to client needs, ensuring all casework aligns with client SLAs and industry best practices.
  • Assess risk and exercise sound judgment to support and justify decisions to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Organise and prioritise tasks to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to expand business networks and deepen understanding of the Firm's strategic goals and client expectations.
  • Serve as a mentor and primary point of contact for junior team members, offering guidance and support as needed.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive (NQ+)
  • Previous civil litigation experience
  • Experience of property insurance claims (beneficial)
  • Strong technical proficiency and a keen enthusiasm for all aspects of commercial insurance

This is a great opportunity for qualified solicitors or chartered legal executives with previous experience handling property-related claims including property damage, policy coverage, subrogated claims and product liability.
