Corporate Associate (2-4 PQE) in Leeds

This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing corporate team of a highly regarded national law firm with a strong presence across the UK. The team advises a broad range of businesses, investors and management teams on a wide variety of corporate transactions and is recognised for delivering commercially focused advice on complex and high-value matters.

The Leeds office continues to experience significant growth, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Associate looking to accelerate their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will join a busy and well-established corporate practice, working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on a diverse range of transactions. The role will have a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, while also providing exposure to private equity, corporate restructurings and equity capital markets work.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on mergers, acquisitions and corporate disposals.
• Supporting and leading business and asset acquisitions, share sales and strategic transactions.
• Assisting with private equity investments and management buy-outs.
• Undertaking and managing due diligence exercises, data room reviews and disclosure processes.
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents and ancillary corporate documentation.
• Preparing disclosure letters and supporting documentation.
• Advising on shareholder agreements, joint ventures, LLP agreements and corporate reorganisations.
• Supporting public company transactions, including IPOs and equity fundraising.
• Building strong client relationships and gaining early exposure to clients and referrers.
• Contributing to business development initiatives, tenders and networking activities.

What you'll need to succeed:

Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with between 2 and 4 years' post-qualification experience gained within a recognised corporate team.

You should also demonstrate:

• Strong experience advising on corporate transactions, particularly M&A matters.
• Excellent technical drafting and negotiation skills.
• The ability to confidently manage matters and client relationships with an appropriate level of supervision.
• Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a growing team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A genuine ambition to progress your career within a successful national practice.
