Solicitor / Associate - Tax Your new firm Our client is a highly regarded UK law firm with a strong reputation for providing commercially focused and strategic tax advice to businesses, investors and entrepreneurs.

The firm advises a diverse client base across the UK and internationally, supporting on a broad range of corporate tax matters and transactions.

Recognised for its technical expertise and pragmatic approach, the team advises on mergers and acquisitions, business reorganisations, venture capital investments, VAT matters, international tax issues and tax disputes.

The practice is particularly well regarded for its work within the venture capital and growth company space, including advising on tax-efficient investment structures and share incentive arrangements.

Your new role This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Associate to join a highly regarded Corporate Tax team in Guildford.

You will work closely with businesses, investors and management teams, advising on a broad range of corporate tax matters and transactional work.

Your responsibilities will include advising on the tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructures, drafting and negotiating tax deeds and warranties, supporting clients on VAT and international tax issues, and assisting with tax disputes where required.

You will also be involved in advising companies on share incentive schemes and preparing applications relating to EIS and SEIS reliefs.

Alongside your technical work, you will have direct client contact, assist with business development initiatives and work collaboratively with colleagues across a range of practice areas to deliver tailored solutions for clients.

What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 2-5 years' PQE and a strong foundation in transactional and advisory tax work.

You will possess excellent drafting and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.

Experience advising on transactional tax matters, corporate reorganisations, share incentive schemes or venture capital investments would be advantageous.

You will enjoy building client relationships, be commercially minded in your approach and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

An interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice will also be important.
