Serve as Assistant General Counsel - Senior Manager within a small team, collaborating with a larger global department. Provide legal support on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization. Advise on contracts, corporate governance, technology, privacy, data security, regulatory compliance, and other commercial issues. Manage the organization’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions and network policies. Support Risk Management and Finance with legal assistance. Oversee legal needs of global delivery center subsidiaries. Develop and implement governance, operational policies, procedures, and playbooks. Review and advise on new services, solutions, and governance processes. Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions, ensuring cost-effective and efficient work. Balance practical, business-focused advice with risk management and compliance obligations. Present and write articles on legal topics. Mentor and support junior team members. Build collaborative relationships across member firms.

Qualifications and Skills

  • UK-qualified lawyer or equivalent, with significant experience at a major law firm.
  • Experience in private practice with regulatory and data protection exposure.
  • 8-12 years post-qualified experience.
  • Expert legal skills with ability to lead complex legal and regulatory issues.
  • Strategic risk management mindset, able to identify issues and suggest mitigations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex files, collaborating with teams.
  • Balance business demands with legal and compliance risk management.
  • Self-motivated, thriving in a fast-paced, global environment.
