An established organisation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor / HR Officer to join its busy People team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources generalist to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across recruitment, employee life cycle administration, HR systems, and employee relations.

Your new role

As HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive support across the employee life cycle, with responsibilities including:

  • Managing recruitment and onboarding activities, including drafting and posting adverts, coordinating interviews, issuing contracts, and supporting hiring managers.
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintaining employee records and processing changes through the HR Information System (HRIS), including new starters, contractual changes, and leavers.
  • Producing HR reports and monitoring key people processes such as probation reviews.
  • Providing first-line HR advice to managers and employees on policies and procedures.
  • Supporting employee relations activities, including note-taking at formal meetings and managing employee administration.
  • Assisting with HR communications, intranet content, and service desk enquiries.

This is a hybrid position requiring attendance in the office for onboarding and at least two days per week thereafter.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone with previous HR experience who is a strong team player and can effectively manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will also demonstrate:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience within a generalist HR or HR Advisory role.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Confidence using HR systems, including ATS and HRIS platforms.
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the confidence to support managers and employees.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach to HR service delivery.
