Working within a collaborative HR function, you will play a key role in supporting operational excellence and driving service improvements across a diverse workforce.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to a senior HR leader, you will lead a busy HR Service Centre responsible for delivering a full employee lifecycle service. You will oversee service delivery, manage and develop a team of HR professionals, and ensure the provision of a responsive, customer-focused HR operation. Acting as the escalation point for complex HR matters, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to improve processes, enhance service standards and drive continuous improvement. The role also has significant involvement in HR systems, data management, compliance and the implementation of people-related projects and initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will be an experienced HR operations leader with a strong track record of managing high-volume HR service delivery teams.
  • You will have previously worked as a Team Leader within a shared service centre, ideally having managed an HR team of Administrators and Advisors.
  • You will be a confident people manager, skilled in coaching, developing and motivating teams to achieve excellent customer service outcomes.
  • You will possess a strong understanding of HR processes, employment legislation, GDPR and compliance requirements, alongside experience of working with HR systems and data.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence at all levels, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and change delivery.
  • Ideally you will also have knowledge of overseeing payroll processes.

What you'll get in return:

In return, you will have the opportunity to lead a well-established HR operations function and play a pivotal role in shaping and improving services that impact employees across the organisation. The role offers hybrid working, 3 days a week on site. You will work with a supportive leadership team, contribute to strategic people initiatives and gain exposure to significant transformation and systems projects. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while further developing your leadership, operational and strategic HR expertise within a progressive and forward-thinking environment.
