Hays are delighted to be partnering with a Private Healthcare provider to hire a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. £40,000-£45,000 + excellent benefits. Flexible working considered - 4 days per week. Free onsite parking.
As HR Advisor, you will be the focal point for employee-related activity across the full employee lifecycle. You will provide first-line HR advice, coaching and guidance, supporting managers to deliver fair, consistent and compliant people practices while helping colleagues deliver Spire's purpose every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues in line with procedures and best practice.
- Support managers with employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary, grievance and absence management, undertaking investigations where appropriate.
- Coordinate recruitment activity, onboarding, induction and job-specific training.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity on HR system (Florence).
- Coordinate learning and development activities and training administration.
- Work closely with HR Shared Services, central HR and payroll teams to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and within deadlines.
- Build strong relationships with heads of department and hiring managers, acting as a trusted HR contact.
- Support ad-hoc HR and people projects as directed by the Hospital Director and People Business Partner.
Who We're Looking For
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a People Advisor or HR role.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- A professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
