A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Interim FM Transformation Lead to drive a high-profile Facilities Management transformation programme. This strategic assignment will focus on reviewing future FM delivery models, evaluating options, developing recommendations, and producing an implementation plan that delivers a high-performing, flexible and value-for-money FM service.
Working closely with senior leaders, commissioners, commercial teams and service stakeholders, you will lead the end-to-end transformation programme, providing strategic direction, robust governance and clear recommendations to support key decision-making and future service delivery arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Facilities Management transformation programme from mobilisation through to implementation planning.
- Develop and evaluate future FM delivery models, undertaking strategic, operational and commercial assessment of all options.
- Manage project governance, reporting, risks and dependencies across the programme.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, commissioners, operational teams and delivery partners.
- Produce and present strategic reports and recommendations to support senior decision-making and approvals.
- Develop implementation and procurement plans covering governance, resources, transition arrangements and service continuity.
- Ensure programme benefits, risks and outcomes are effectively managed and communicated throughout the assignment.
You will be a highly credible transformation leader with significant experience delivering complex change programmes within asset management, facilities management or related environments. You'll be comfortable operating at senior executive level, influencing stakeholders and translating strategic objectives into practical delivery plans.
Essential Requirements- Chartered professional qualification such as MRICS, FRICS, RIBA, MCIOB or equivalent.
- Significant experience in asset management, facilities management and commissioning.
- Strong commercial, procurement and contract management expertise.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation or organisational change programmes.
- Experience working within a public sector environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience developing business cases, strategic recommendations and board-level reports.
- Experience of local government transformation, devolution programmes or place-based working.
