I am excited to be recruiting for a brand-new HR Advisor role - 18 Month FTC - within a purpose-driven organisation that is committed to sustainability, long-term impact and caring for people and place. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to play a hands-on role in supporting managers and employees across the business.
Working closely with HR Business Partners and the wider HR team, you'll provide high-quality advice and guidance across the full HR lifecycle. Alongside operational HR and employee relations activity, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to HR projects, policy development, job evaluation and employee engagement initiatives. This role involves travelling to sites approximately 3-4 times per month (with less travel in other months). Applicants must have access to their own car and hold a clean driving licence.
Key responsibilities- HR management
- Deliver professional, practical HR advice and guidance to managers on all HR operational matters
- Take a hands-on approach to supporting the full HR lifecycle, taking personal responsibility for assigned areas of work
- Support and, where appropriate, lead employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Prepare clear, well-structured documentation to support effective case management and risk mitigation
- Support managers to apply HR policies and procedures consistently and confidently
- Support the management of vacancies across parts of the organisation
- Assist with key stages of the recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and compliant candidate experience
- Support the delivery of training and briefings on HR best practice for managers
- Contribute to HR-led projects, including organisational change and service improvement initiatives
- Support job evaluation activity, including working with recognised job evaluation frameworks
- Assist with the review, updating and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Support the delivery and analysis of employee engagement survey activity and follow-up actions.
