Hays are delighted to be supporting a highly innovative international organisation within the life sciences sector in the recruitment of an experienced HR Advisor to join their UK HR team. With a global presence spanning Europe and North America and a workforce of approximately 5,000 employees worldwide, this organisation is at the forefront of scientific research and development.
Due to ongoing business transformation and continued organisational change, an opportunity has arisen for a confident HR professional to join the team on a temporary basis for 6 months initially, with a strong possibility of extension to 12 months. Reporting to the UK HR Team Lead, you will become part of a close-knit HR function supporting employees across the UK business. This role will focus on delivering a high-quality HR operational service across the full employee life-cycle. This is a broad generalist role with a strong emphasis on HR operations.
- Processing and maintaining accurate employee data within the HR system
- Supporting payroll administration by coordinating employee changes with the Payroll Manager
- Assisting with annual HR activities including salary reviews, merit increases and bonus processes
- Managing holiday entitlement changes and long-service recognition processes
- Ensuring HR records remain accurate, compliant and up to date
- Supporting managers and employees with HR policy and process queries
- Working closely with the wider HR team to deliver an efficient HR service during a period of organisational change
What You'll Need to Succeed
We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who have a strong background in HR operations and administration. Previous experience in a HR role. Experience using HR systems, ideally Workday. The ability to manage multiple priorities within a changing environment. This position does not require a strong employee relations background, making it particularly suited to candidates who enjoy operational HR and process-driven work.
Hybrid working model with 3 days on-site and 2 days working from home. Flexible start and finish times. Modern offices based within the Alderley Park Science Campus. Supportive and collaborative HR team environment. Initial contract of at least six months with a strong likelihood of extension to 1 year minimum.
