We're looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Income Officer to support our social housing client in Warrington on a full-time, temporary basis until the end of March 2026.

Your new role:

  • Monitor and manage your own caseload of rent accounts to maximise income and minimise arrears.
  • Take early intervention and enforcement action where appropriate to recover outstanding debts.
  • Prepare and issue notices, court papers and liaise with Enforcement, Tenancy Sustainment and Neighbourhood Officers to ensure joined-up support.
  • Work closely with external agencies such as Local Authority and Benefit teams to maximise income.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with company policy.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience of managing rent arrears, income collection or debt recovery within a social housing or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of completing expenditure and vulnerability assessments.
