Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Warrington-based forest and nursery school that is at the heart of its local community as they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Level 2 qualified early years assistant for a full-time temporary contract that will last the remainder of the academic year. This forest and nursery school is extremely supportive and inclusive and is currently running at full capacity.

There are a high number of SEN pupils within this nursery, 50% of whom are diagnosed with EHCP/ISP's in place, with the other 50% currently on pathway and assessment processes. This role will consist of SEN support on a timetabled 1:1 basis within the classroom and forest school settings. You will be based within the nursery's resource provision, delivering comprehensive 1:1 support to a number of pupils with varying levels of needs within classes and the forest school. The needs will consist of ASD, LD, PMLD, specific mobility needs and personal care.

Your core duties will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering various educational activities in line with the EYFS curriculum and pupil interests
  • Supporting speech and language development: PECs, Makaton, phonics, etc.
  • Assisting with mobility needs
  • Promoting social and emotional development
  • Personal care

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, be at minimum level 2 EYFS or equivalent qualified, and:

  • Have relevant referenceable classroom experience
  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract (35 hours per week)
