Your New Role

This primary school is looking to appoint an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from October.

The role will involve providing PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons, and leading targeted interventions to support pupils who require additional support with their learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and is confident about taking responsibility for whole-class teaching when required.

  • What You'll Need To Succeed
  • HLTA qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Previous experience providing PPA cover within a primary school setting.
  • Experience teaching and managing whole classes across KS1 and KS2.
  • Strong experience delivering interventions that support pupil progress and attainment.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Covering PPA across KS1 and KS2.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring high standards of learning.
  • Leading small-group interventions to support pupils in meeting their learning targets.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress.
  • Supporting the wider teaching team to ensure the best oues for all children.
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel supported and motivated.
