Your new role: The company is seeking a VAT accountant to join the Tax COE Europe team on a 9-month FTC. This is a key role where you’ll take ownership of VAT reporting compliance for a group of European and international markets, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met. You’ll also act as an internal consultant, providing VAT compliance advice and supporting stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare VAT and indirect tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annual) and related listings
  • Obtain submission approvals, process VAT payments and archive documentation
  • Perform VAT GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Handle VAT compliance queries and support audits
  • Maintain VAT codes and assist with system updates
  • Monitor VAT legislation changes and advise stakeholders
  • Support tax technology implementation and process automation
  • Drive standardisation, continuous improvement and risk management

What you’ll need to succeed:

You’ll have at least 2+ years of proven VAT compliance experience in a multinational environment or equivalent. Strong technical skills in Excel are essential and experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
