- Your New Role
We are currently recruiting for a Higher Clearance Administrator to join a busy and collaborative security team supporting a majorernment-focused programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised administrator with exceptional attention to detail who enjoys working within a process-driven environment.
As part of the security function, you will play a key role in managing higher-level security clearance applications, renewals, transfers and sharing requests.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, applicants, line managers and external vetting teams to ensure clearance requirements are managed accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be based withinmuting distance of Telford, with hybrid work available.
Local candidates will be expected to attend the office one to two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer higher clearance applications, renewals, transfers and sharing requests.
- Support applicants and line managers throughout the clearance application process.
- Respond to clearance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems.
- Produce and maintain clearance statistics and reporting information.
- Liaise with applicants, stakeholders andernment vetting teams to support successful clearances.
- Attend progress meetings and provide updates on clearance activity.
- Assist with internal and external audits relating to security clearance status.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous administration experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbalmunication abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within security, pliance, vetting or regulated environments would be advantageous.
- Knowledge ofernment security clearance processes or experience supporting HMRC-related projects would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
- Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
