We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Store Person to support a major electrical installation project at Gatwick Airport.
This is a 6-month contract position, working closely with site management and electricians to ensure the efficient receipt, storage and distribution of electrical materials and equipment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining site productivity by managing deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring materials are available to site teams when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries of electrical materials and equipment.
- Check delivery notes against orders and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all materials and stock levels.
- Organise and store materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Distribute materials and equipment to electricians and site teams as required.
- Transport materials from the stores area to various work locations across site.
- Keep accurate records of stock movements and material usage.
- Assist with stock audits and inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores area.
- Liaise with suppliers, site management and operatives to ensure material requirements are met.
Requirements
• Valid CSCS Card.
- Previous experience working as a Store Person, Warehouse Operative or Materials Controller within the construction, engineering or M&E sector.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
- Goodmunication skills and ability to work within a busy site environment.
