They are now looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Client Assistant Manager. Part-time candidates will also be considered.

As a Client Assistant Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact across phone, email, and virtual meetings. You will also handle occasional on-site client meetings. Your work will be varied and hands-on, giving you exposure to a range of small practice clients and the opportunity to support a small accounts team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for small to medium Ltd companies, including corporation tax computations
  • Producing unaudited accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • Overseeing and supporting a small team of accountants, including reviewing work
  • Managing your own portfolio, ensuring deadlines and client service levels are met
  • Liaising with HMRC on client queries
  • Representing the firm professionally and building strong client relationships

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a small practice environment
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence in preparing statutory accounts
  • A proactive, positive attitude
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office and familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage (Sage experience advantageous)
  • Professional qualification AAT/ACA/ACCA or QBE considered equally
