You’ll supervise and mentor the site team, own programme and budget performance, and ensure contractual compliance, quality, and safety throughout.

The Role

  • Lead the site team: Manage, supervise, train and mentor the team to optimise their contribution and performance.
  • Review contractual agreements; develop working methods, programmes and forecast costs with the Client, Contracts Manager and specialists/suppliers—identifying inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
  • Be fully conversant with specialists’ contract conditions.
  • Develop programmes and forecast budgets; assess actual programme and productivity weekly, take corrective action where required, and report changes to the Contracts Manager and commercial team.
  • Positively manage the programme so specialists provide the right resources and skills without impeding construction progress; liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure inspection and test plans (ITPs), risk assessments (RA) and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed, approved and adhered to.

About You — Core Requirements

  • Degree‑level qualification in a Civil Engineering‑allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training in Engineering.

  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
  • Proven ability to supervise site teams and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
