This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Waste and Resources Consultant to step into a Senior or Principal role (also considering higher levels up to Associate Director level). You’ll play a key part in succession planning for a long-standing client relationship, taking the reins and driving projects forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing environmental permit applications and technical bid responses
- Advising on waste treatment, collections, and compliance
- Supporting procurement and facility development projects
- Contributing to waste and minerals planning and auditing
- Project management, client management and business development
- Mentoring junior members of the team
Hybrid working is available, but office presence is preferred. Occasional UK travel may be required.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A degree in a related field
- Proven experience with UK-based environmental permitting from a waste background
- Solid understanding of environmental legislation including deposit for recovery, and landfill regulations
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to hit the ground running and work independently or as part of a team
- CIWM Chartership (or working towards)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with challenging stakeholders in the waste industry
- Full UK driving licence
