Hays Leicester is looking for a School Sports Coach
Hays Leicester is seeking an experienced School Sports Coach with a background in delivering PE lessons and sports coaching sessions for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We collaborate with schools across Leicester and Leicestershire that support pupils with various additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. If you have experience working with vulnerable children and a passion for sports coaching, we want to hear from you!
Your new school
As a School Sports Coach, you\'ll have the opportunity to teach in various schools across Leicester and Leicestershire. These schools offer pupils with additional needs unique opportunities such as equine therapy, hydrotherapy, and sensory classes, providing a diverse and enriching environment.
Your role
You will deliver PE coaching to pupils with additional needs, including those with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities. Your role involves using sports as a tool to engage vulnerable young people, teach soft skills like communication, and develop pupils\' self-esteem. You will view sports as part of a holistic education approach to support disadvantaged pupils.

- Experience as a Sports Coach working with vulnerable young people
- Good knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Neurodivergence in children and young people
