Plumber required at HMP Onley, ongoing contract starting ASAP, 39 hours per week, £23 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
You will be working at HM Prison Onley for a facilities management and maintenance company. This company ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison are completed to a high standard.
Your new job will be temporary to permanent based on performance. You will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Installing and maintaining heating systems
- Repairing sanitation systems
- Fitting appliances
- Emergency repairs
All tools and materials will be provided, and you could be asked to work 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends, but the majority will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Working weekends are paid at overtime rates.
What you'll need to succeed: Relevant Plumbing qualifications. You will need to be able to pass an enhanced vetting procedure to be considered for this role.
What you'll get in return: You will be paid £20 per hour, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis. If you're successful in the role, there may be opportunities to continue with this role either in the same or a different establishment.
