You’ll be joining a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer in Wrexham, operating within a highly regulated, sterile and GMP-compliant environment. The organisation is known for its strong focus on quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement across their technical and QC functions.
As a QC Microbiologist, you will play a key role in supporting Environmental Monitoring (EM) and microbiological testing activities across clean rooms and production areas. You’ll perform testing on raw materials, in process samples and final product, identify microbial isolates, maintain laboratory equipment and documentation, and contribute to OOS/OOT investigations and validation studies.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience working in a microbiology laboratory or GMP production environment
- Strong aseptic technique and aseptic gowning capability
- Understanding of cGMP, GLP, and relevant pharmacopoeia standards
- Ability to prioritise workload and maintain accurate, compliant documentation
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- A scientific degree or HND (or equivalent experience)
