About the Role
Hays Education is delighted to be supporting a primary school in Havering in recruiting an experienced and high-calibre Teaching Assistant – SEN Support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school whose mission is to “inspire learners and change lives.” The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Engage and motivate pupils, creatively differentiating learning where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to deliver high-quality provision.
- Support children with ASD using approaches such as PECS, Attention Autism, TACPAC, and Intensive Interaction.
- Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
