About the Role
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to inclusive education? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington is seeking a Class Teacher with SENCO responsibilities to join their dynamic team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an aspiring SENCO looking to take the next step in their career. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of all pupils, particularly those with additional needs, ensuring every child thrives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching to a class of enthusiastic learners.
- Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school.
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective support strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
- Proven experience in teaching and supporting pupils with SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A nurturing, reflective, and resilient approach to teaching and learning.
