The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the payroll operations, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed both accurately and efficiently. Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information. Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently. Appropriate and accurate information is provided to management, HMRC, pension providers and other external bodies. This role is a temp role initially but has the room for a permanent placement for the right person.
To provide a timely, accurate and efficient monthly payroll:
- To collate and input monthly payroll data (including timesheets).
- To calculate and process monthly payroll amendments including starters, leavers and contract changes.
- To manage other pay elements such as maternity and sickness pay.
- To process annual cost of living and incremental pay increases.
- To process transactions relating to salary sacrifice schemes including our Electric Vehicle Scheme and the Bike to Work Scheme.
- To conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the payroll database and associated software development.
- To process monthly reports for our pension providers.
- To deal with enquiries from employees, management and external contacts.
- To reconcile all payroll transactions to the nominal ledger.
- To maintain up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures.
- To ensure that robust audit records are maintained.
You will be expected to have excellent ICT skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft applications with the ability to update and/or implement new systems in line with the requirements of the role/business. To support the HR team with any other appropriate duties as may be required.
You will need to have experience with full end-to-end payroll, excellent attention to details and the ability to work well under pressure.
