Hays Education are working in partnership with a weing and inclusive primary school in the Penwortham area to recruit a passionate Forest School Teaching Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who ismitted to helping children learn, explore and thrive through outdoor education.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging Forest School sessions, encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience, independence and a love of the natural environment.

Your new role

As a Forest School Teaching Assistant, you will:
β€’ Support the planning and delivery of outdoor learning activities across the primary age range.

  • Encourage pupil participation in hands-on, nature-based learning experiences.
  • Promote positive behaviour, teamwork and personal development.
  • Assist in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive outdoor learning environment.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support.
  • Help maintain outdoor resources and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with teachers and school staff to enhance curriculum learning through outdoor experiences.
  • What you'll need to succeed

We are keen to hear from candidates who have

  • Experience working with children in a school, educational or outdoor learning setting.
  • A Forest School qualification or relevant outdoor education experience (desirable).
  • A passion for outdoor learning and child development.
  • Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
